Atmosphere feels warm and welcoming.” Another, Matt Barnard, adds a charming touch by noting how the place sparks playful jealousy among friends when visiting with family—a testament to its broad appeal.
The experience extends beyond just food and service. The pricing is refreshingly affordable, offering exceptional value without compromising quality. Mike Wilson sums it up by praising the restaurant’s thriving presence in a rural community and its surprising generosity, remarking that for just $10.99, the buffet presents more value than many places he’s encountered, even in larger metropolitan areas.
While the buffet offers an ample variety, some guests have noted minor areas for improvement, such as a desire for more shrimp options or a wider spread of seafood dishes. However, this hasn’t diminished the overall enjoyment, as the unique dishes like the Peanut Chicken make the menu memorably distinct.

This is one of those places if I go with kid, my friends get jealous and vise versa.
I placed a pick up order this evening for house, fried rice. I noticed the order was wrong and I turned around and brought it back. The cashier accidentally put house lo mein. They were also very busy. All good I sit there and wait for my order to be fixed. The cashier looked like she wanted to cry. I told her It’s OK everyone makes mistakes. Don’t carry this home. She stated she had already made a mistake already once today. I said I don’t care how many mistakes you make. I told her to go ahead and charge me for the wrong item. The young lady was going to pay for that item and take it home. You Could see the relief on her face when I told her I was paying for it. So IDK if her employers make her feel this way, I sure hope not. Things happen and as I was leaving, she thanked me for not yelling at her. How sad that she was so concerned about getting yelled at by a customer!
I love it here 10 out of 10. Everything is good. Customer service oh my they are so kind and sweet. Atmosphere feels warm and welcoming.
The Bamboo House Buffet was a delightful adventure. I loved that it was thriving in a rural community in the middle of Indiana. The food was delicious, with a wide spread of main Chinese dishes. The price was less than you would expect: $10.99 for the buffet. Here in Michigan I can't get even one Chinese dish for less than that! The service was as any good restaurant - they were attentive without being overbearing. If given the opportunity to travel here again, I would definitely make it a point to go here, and probably every day that I was in the area.
Pretty good! I was a little disappointed as there was barely any shrimp options. When I think of buffet, what I really want is an abundance of garlic shrimp. The peanut chicken was really good and a unique option! I've never had that before! The Crab meat was okay. The reflection of the mirror made it look like there were a lot more food options than there actually were. Otherwise, pretty good!
